I am a fully qualified and BACP registered counsellor based in South Wales, however, I see clients from all over the UK. I am qualified in Therapeutic Counselling, specialising in Humanistic and Existential theory. I have integrated other theories into my practice to adapt sessions to my clients individual needs.
I have always had a great passion for helping people - a role I have proudly taken on for most of my life.
I worked at an NHS Adult Mental Health hospital for several years, moving on then to offer support to employees of the NHS which has further inspired my passion for therapeutic practice.
I passionately deliver and teach workshops on compassion & self-care, assertiveness, stress management, trauma awareness, and overall wellbeing. My work focuses on empowering individuals with practical skills and deeper understanding so they can thrive both personally and professionally. In addition to facilitating training sessions, I also develop and lead programmes that equip employees to become effective Wellbeing Champions within their workplaces. Through this role, I support participants in building the confidence, knowledge, and communication skills needed to hold difficult wellbeing conversations, offer informed support and signposting, and serve as a trusted point of contact for colleagues seeking guidance. My approach is grounded in professionalism, empathy, and a genuine commitment to fostering healthier, more compassionate work environments.
Several years working for Cardiff Mind has given me a wealth of experience working with multiple mental health issues including depression, anxiety and PTSD. It has also provided me with some invaluable training in Mental Health First Aid and ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training).
I continue to add to my practice through attending 'Continuing Professional Development' workshops and training. This ensures my practice and knowledge is kept up to date on specific issues and current developments.
